The Sex Workers Project (SWP) at the Urban Justice Center (UJC) is seeking community support to help transition 60 clients from receiving our services who are people working in the sex trades and/or are survivors of human trafficking.

We recently lost a major government grant that funded trauma-informed therapy, case management, assistance with victims assistance claims, emergency needs such as metrocards, clothing and toiletries and social work staff salaries who provide these services on a daily basis.  In addition to transitional emergency funding from the City and foundation funders, we are turning to colleagues, comrades and community members to raise $10,000 in September to help offset some of this fiscal loss in order to transition our clients in the best possible way under the circumstances. Our current need is urgent given that without raising enough new funds these workers and survivors will lose critical support services at the end of September.

Thank you for your generous support of sex workers and survivors of human trafficking!
