October 2020: Join Penelope Saunders (BPPP), Monica Jones (the Outlaw Project), NJRUA, the Black Sex Worker Collective, and Cris Sardina (Desiree Alliance) to learn about what recommendations our communities would like to see made by the international community when the US is held accountable by the United Nations later on this year.

Every five years the United Nations reviews the human rights record of the United States in its totality in a process called the Universal Periodic Review (UPR). Sex workers and trans people have been able to use this process to bring attention to human rights abuses we face and in getting the international community to make recommendations such as Recommendation 86.

We hope that all who can will join us to watch the review of the US on November 9. More information is available here: https://www.ohchr.org/EN/HRBodies/UPR/Pages/USIndex.aspx
